Outside of habit and a pure animal desire to just continue on, what reason is there really?

The idea of being without my wife. I don't believe she would ever leave me unless I did something to really screw things up (which is actually a remarkably strong incentive to avoid being an idiot), but that doesn't mean something else can't happen to her. I'm not particularly emotional, I can even be kind of cold, but the idea of being without her... It would just be devastating.

I don't have any kids yet, but the thought of having kids who are complete idiots/screw ups freaks me out. I don't expect my kids to be perfect, and to be honest I wouldn't want them to be. However, I don't want one of these kids who knocks up some girl (or gets knocked up) when they're 16, who ends up living in my basement until they're 25, or just otherwise turns out to be a complete idiot.

This is the truth. I mean, not even been in an hour today, and my little darlings are ******* up at warp speed today. I need to open a sole proprietorship.

If this is my mid-life crisis, when can I expect a Ferrari to appear in my driveway?
