I bought 1 of their dress shirts to give it a test.

It is huge. Apparently size 15.5 neck equates to a 46" chest. I saw but fully ignored the measurements link at the bottom of their site, so it is my own fault. SMRT. Oh well it was only 27 USD.

I may keep it since the fabric is pretty nice, but it feels like I'm swimming in the thing.

Will post a pic if anyone is interested.

It is kind of a huge take-in (46" shirt to 40" chest), but I will have a tailor give it a once over. Arms are super baggy too.

If the tailoring is a no-go, I need to find something worth getting on their site and exchange (already opened it so can't get refund.)

You really don't want your shirt to measure the same size as your chest. And taking it in a couple inches is not a big deal.

And I wouldn't call the arms super baggy. I mean, the shirts I got don't fit perfectly either, but they're nowhere near as tent-like as some.

I guess I am used to some thin fitting dress shirts, as in, I can fit maybe 2 fat fingers in there before the fabric starts to stretch; 3 and buttons go flying. My chest is 40" and my favorite shirts measure 41.5-42".

I will take my best fitting shirt and this one to a tailor and see! I really do like the fabric though. Basic construction, but nice.

I just received my shirts, and having read the posts on the shirts, I feared the worst. Having tried them on I don't think they are nearly as badly fitting as some have suggested. Certainly they are not as fitted as a Borrelli or Charvet, but they are not as blousy as most Brooks Bros shirts. To my mind they actually fit perfectly for warm weather, they allow enough circulation to keep you cooler and dry any sweat faster.

The cloth and construction are really nice, for $27 these are a great buy. I also got the brass collar stays with my shirts.

I actually bought a my shirt from TRL a few months back. It was the only place i could find a burgundy houndstooth dress shirt. It was a little baggy. Had my tailor take in the sides a tad for $8. Not a bad deal for $35 total with alterations.

I've just received a 15" shirt (I'm usually 15.5 - 16") and it fits pretty well. It's not as fitted as I'd like it but compared to the Duchamp shirts I have it's a pretty good fit. You just need to size down! The collar is definitely bigger than 15".

Do you have to size down, like shoes with the english?

I agree - I don't have much experience with slim-fitted shirts but I've found the TRL shirts to be more or less on the money. Only issue seems to be variation in collar size - I ordered 3 15's and I've tried on two so far. One is just right, but the other is just about as tight as it could be. The first time was a challenge to get it buttoned.

As i stated earlier the fit was almost right for me, but my only complaint is the stiff collar. Anyone else notice it? I mean really stiff collar.

Yes, I mentioned this in the other TRL thread. I'd prefer a softer collar, but I'm willing to live with it.
