Thanks, guys! I've used Navy wax on Black shoes before but never even seen Purple polish/wax. Interesting.Navy, makes the color come out with a great luster
If you want to use cream (Saphir) for oxblood, some mix of mahogany, dark brown, navy, and black will keep you on center.
Great input, thanks a lot, guys.For the most part, I avoid pigmented product unless I'm really trying to change or darken the existing shade. Neutral cream polish works best for me, with a light coat of coloured paste wax in any burgudy-ish shade to help cover the occasional light abrasions. Black paste wax over oxblood also works. But again, IME the primary means of maintaining any original and unique shade is avoiding additional pigment as much as possible.
