Hey can I check with u whether the forefoot sole touches the ground when you put the heel flush against the ground? I just got my first pair of shoes with commando soles and want To know whether this gap is normal

Vass make mistakes like this when they are asked to make certain styles they are not familiar with.
Years ago their HAF sole was always unbalanced too with heels too short.
If you look carefully you will see a shoe that would be perfectly balanced without the lug rubber on the heel and sole.
They added too much rubber on the heel and less on the sole so it is unbalanced.

Shorten the heel and it will be o.k

My first pair of Vass arrived -- the loafers/slippers in P last. These are a perfect fit whereas the F slipper was too narrow for me (can't speak for the oxfords). I am usually a US "D" width. I am extremely happy in the build quality and overall construction. I want to also say that customer service has been fantastic over the past 10 days, very communicative and even sent my replacement for Saturday delivery so I could enjoy their receipt before travel. Thank you, Vass! Thanks also to those who gave sizing advice earlier :)

Hey folks, I could use some suggestions here as I'm at my wit's end with Vass.
I've ordered from many makers this year including CJ, TLB, AM, Carmina and Vass has caused more headaches for me than all of them combined.

After spending 6 mo communicating with them due to their extremely slow response times, I finally ordered a pair of chukka's after trying a couple of pairs of fitters that they had sent to me (and charged me for). However, they did not refund me for the fitters and instead simply gave me a coupon code for a future order (which is a despicable move IMO to force me to order with them again and was not agreed upon up front). Not only that, but my chukka's did not fit properly when they arrived, which they acknowledged from the photos and asked me to send them back with no explanation for what the plan would be moving forward. My last communication with them was November...my boots were successfully returned to them early December, and I have followed up a few times but they have not responded at all.

We're coming up on almost 7 weeks now with no correspondence on the plan moving forward, no refund on the $1k I paid for the fitters, and no shoes in my possession and I am really disapointed and astonished at the experience and hassle it has cost me. Even after considering the holiday period, it's not acceptable and I'm not sure how to proceed from here.

If you don’t have the product, it didn’t work and they’re not responsive just do a charge back and move on.

Anyone added Lulu toe taps/plates to their dress shoes? I went overboard and had my cobbler put them on 6 pairs of leather sole dress shoes (Vass included). I saw Vass does this but then it becomes non-returnable/exchangeable if you have them do it. If you know your size for sure, then it's a good deal as they charge $32 versus $55 (local US for me). Then again, I don't know if they use Lulus, can only assume.

Anyone else see the Instagram add Vass put out yesterday that they made some Color 8 Shell Theresianer P2? First, how is the fit of the Theresianer, and is the P2 wider than the F last or for those with somewhat wider feet, avoid the P2? F last was too narrow for me.

Think I have them on all of mine. Prolongs the sole ime, since for me, the front toe wears down first.

Whether or not toe plates matter to you depends on how you walk and wear down your shoes. I topy or toe plate most of my stuff. Topy for beaters. Toe plates for the good stuff.

As for where they get them done, that depends how much you trust your local cobbler. I stopped using the big local guy near me for just about any project other than replacing heels because they tried to tell me shoes with a closed channel were just glued and that they do that kind of work when I asked about whether or not they could do a similar sole replacement and took off a loafer I was wearing to show them as an example. I smiled and nodded as I left.

Yeah, that would be a big red flag for me too
