Harry Rosen outlet is having boxing days markdowns, which includes cheap (relative term) Tom Ford.

There's a Tom Ford SC that's 80% off at about $1075, and suits starting at $2k. Some of the suits are quite nice with prince of wales checks and birdseye patterns.

There are 38Rs and 40Rs - don't know about other sizes.

They also sent out a coupon for $50 off any purchase over $250.

Can you share the coupon or is it everyone can use it in store? I am on their mail list but haven’t received any email for 8 months

I don't know what the criteria is for the coupon. It says to show the coupon in store on your phone or printed out.

Hi, bot confused by the tax calculation.

I bought a pair of boots for ~ 700 USD, it's made in Italy but I bought it from US.

How much would it be for the importing tax? I searched online duty calculator but it quota 300+ on made in non-NAFTA and 100+ on made in US for goods coming from US. Just not sure if CETA applies here...

Just trying to understand if I should use CBP (but ship to CBP charge me 9% ~tax I think) or direct shipping.

Thanks in advance.

Well there is no guarantee Customs will assess it correctly.

But it’s $700 usd plus exchange rate + HST + flat brokerage/handling fee of $10.

Yes, you have to pay the state tax when you buy something in the US. Then you pay taxes again when the item comes into Canada.

I was charged 18% duties and 13% taxes for Vass boots ( Made in Budapest) shipped from New York. The calculation was accurate for duties and taxes based on US funds to Canadian exchange.

I have filed for return of duties as the boots were made in Budapest.

CETA only applies if the items are shipped directly from the EU, not if they are sold by a store in the US.
