Excellent smoking suit, but I would wear it with a shirt with hidden buttons, then it would look just perfect.

My usual complaint on the wide shawl, but that is easily fixed if you decide to make a move.

You on about the ‘belly’ on those shawl lapels?
If so I agree. SF loves wide lapels on almost anything and there’s always a Pavlovian reaction to compliment wide lapels but I find the rotund bloated curves of wide belly shawl lapels unflattering. That’s not an area of the body that needs attention drawing to it with roundness! Nothing wrong with slimmer shawl lapels (Bond in ‘Thunderball’).

Haha there may be quite a bit of common ground in the Venn diagram of yours and mine approach to black tie Andy but the lapels bit is not in there!!

Just got this in the mail from Paul Stuart (Phineas Cole which is their slim/modern line.) I love how the fit and fabric feels but I'm worried it looks too tight in the pants? This is for my wedding in May. Any opinions are appreciated.

It was on sale for about 60% off, and it feels like a huge upgrade from the Suitsupply stuff I was considering. I've thought about going to another Paul Stuart model with a more traditional fit, or doing their MTM program but it's a lot more money. At sale price it's only a few hundred more than Suitsupply but at full-price the Paul Stuart stuff is 2-3x more expensive which gives me pause.
