Hi everyone. I am new to shell, and considering buying my first pair. They look great seeing it on photos etc and was thinking of the new Meermin MTO boots in black shell. Do you think it’s a good buy? Apologize if this had been addressed before! Appreciate the feedback

Hello, I manage to pickup a vintage johston murphy in shell cordovan. Since they used to be the second largest buyer of horween shell, is it correct to assume they use shell cordovan from Horween? Any comment of their quality? comparable to alden nowdays?

J&M shoes were really quite good when they were made in the USA and it is almost a certainty that they used Horween shell at the time. Clean them up and post some pictures on the Vintage thread too.
