You're in the thrift thread asking about paying retail for boxes?

The best for small to medium sized boxes is liquor boxes; they're sturdy as hell to hold a lot of weight and glass...and they're usually free outside the local store.

I'm asking about cheap sources for boxes... Thrift/discount thread, yo...

There's fierce competition around here dumpster diving for boxes -yes, I've been looking.

Found 3 pairs of unicorns, my first in awhile. Also a pair of PRL Tweed. Had to leave some Brionis with issues. The shoes are Older Shell Florsheim and C&J/Polo which have (I assume) have been converted to golf shoes.

Came across my first Versace piece today. Too bad it was a pair of well worn Versace Jeans Couture lady jeans. Some flipper picked them up soon after.

I thought he might be someone from here, but when I gave him the Styleforum hand signal he looked at me strangely. Plus he was using a cart and I know none of us would do that. :D

Next time say "Brown is for Farmer". You should get the reply "KitonBrioni Lives".

Is this the Banana Republic I'm looking for?
I'm 61 and have never worn a safari shirt, even when I've actually been on safari in Kenya and Zimbabwe

I'm superstitious in regards to carts and baskets. If I pick one up, the Thrift Gods will see to it I find nothing.

Hmm I guess I dont follow.
I'm pretty grounded within myself to realize its life, not superior God's in control of my outcome while thrifting.

We're potentially moving in the next couple of weeks...

I'm concerned because it's going to potentially put me MUCH closer to my two favorite Savers locations.

All you thrifty gents, is Uhaul the best places to get moving boxes?

Try your local supermarket and ask for banana boxes. They're sturdy and because they have removeable lids, they stack as high as you can reach.

Please don't do what Emma did when she moved down here. I told her to blag as many banana boxes as she could find. When I turned up to her place with a truck, she'd packed the banana boxes but also turned the lids upside down and packed them also. It was like trying to stack a truckload of giant turtles

I don't think anyone answered you on this, but the label is Nicola Blasi, not Nicola Blair. He (and his father, if I remember correctly) were/are Neopolitan tailors. They did Bespoke and RTW and the quality and materials are great. It's no surprise it was in a high-end shop next to Brioni and Kiton, Blasi is right up there with those makers from a few pieces that I've seen.

Great find that I haven't seen here often!

Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you so much for that.

I have subsequently found THIS THREAD from about 18 months ago. It appears that Snr Blasi is held in really high regard. From what little I've so far seen, I can understand why.

A couple questions- thanks in advance:

-I'm not familiar with this RL label. Looks like purple label but blue. Is this a cheap diffusion line?

-Is there a particular name or catagory for this style of coat? Western wear?

My pleasure!

I've had 3-4 Blasi jackets and I'd agree. It's nice stuff, I especially like the shoulders.

Was it made in Italy or the US?
