Found this old coat, might go back. Seems to be very good construction and near new. Not sure if it's from a menswear company or back when regular clothing companies took pride in their work. Can anyone give any sort of clue to whom made this? Long shot since it could be a generic tag and whomever made it didn't fill out the info.

From what I was able to research, the union tag reveals the garment is from 1968-76.

1960s/70s 3-piece suit.
Could it be a Cartier employee uniform?
Or is there some "Cartier cloth" similar to the Zegna cloth/etc.?

Anyone know how old this tag is?

Also, what would you call this pattern?

I dunno the edge finishing inside was pretty crap, tag attachment and that generic "M" tag.. Plus the fonts just looked kinda wonky and the spacing.. then the weird looking little Brit flag on the outside. If it was legit, it was pretty sloppy and lightweight.

Even for $6.99 I wasn't feeling it. I'm sure some other sifter snagged it and it made their day so w/e.

Just for more content's sake, found this 2? days ago and didn't share:

Pretty sick little vintage Pendleton blanket wool coat. Probably 60's-70's? or even earlier. Staff didn't catch that it was the big P cause the neck label was gone, but I know it when I see it.

Also this little guy helped:
