super random question. for some ungodly reason, i re-watched the movie Kids yesterday. haven't seen it since it came out. i can tell you it definitely feels inappropriate for a middle age guy to watch that fricken thing. LOL!

cool snapshot of 90s NYC skate culture. part of my reasoning was a new NYC skate company called Supreme allegedly gave a bunch of clothes for the movie. i didn't see anything obviously supreme though?

fun fact... justin pierce (Casper) was on the original Supreme skate team. supreme also uses his likeness on merchandise. he sadly killed himself in 2000

edit... rewatched the skatepark fight scene. there's a SPLIT SECOND with a Supreme logo tee. what a waste of time. LOL!

‘hackers’ has random supreme stickers throughout the film, probably clothing, too. plus you get to see angelina jolie’s bare ******* (a seminal moment in my development)

chloe sevigny did it for me back in the day. angelina wasn't bad either for obvious reasons.

personally, i'd be pissed if i was Supreme. "we gave you a bunch of schwag and all we get is a split second of some extra kicking the **** out of a skateboarder? WTF!"

I would say houndstooth. But it’s more puppy or dog tooth as hound is the big pattern iirc.

hm. houndstooth is a weaving pattern, this is a print. yours also features that 'eye' and more colors than the typical 2-tone ht.

i'd think a bit more about it as a print and try to characterize it that way. it's a light silk twill.

Thank you both!

I think I had my two best finds ever from the bins today. while all the kids are furiously searching for disney t's and sports jersey's they overlooked these two gems.
Vintage 1950's Lee 101-J Riders sanforized denim trucker.

Someone is asking $2800 on the bay, and 12 people are following the listing. Don't know how realistic the price is, but one can hope!

Second jacket is a 1950's Wrangler Blue Bell Buckle Back jacket, selvedge and hopefully legit. Made famous by John Lennon. There have been repros done by Edwin and Real McCoy, but they have some minor differences from what I am reading online, such as button pocket flaps instead of snaps, and buttons stamped Scoville on back, and a more orange than yellow stitching. If anyone has knowledge to share please do. (@Nataku , @Dirt )

Another thing I have been picking up is these clay bakers. I now have three sizes including this extra large and given a few to my kids.
If you have not tried it, pick one up the next time you see one for a few bucks. Makes really juicy chicken.

some other recent finds, from bins and the racks.
Susu x 2, both 36R and available. Sitting on a rack with over 50 others, the fabric drew me in like a moth to a lightbulb.

i went to the supreme site for the first time. i legit thought everything is always sold out. not the case and the prices aren't totally insane. kinda dig the butthole surfers collab, but other than the tiny supreme logo, it's just the album covers screenprinted. not that BHS has their own merch on their way outdated site, so the supreme ones might be as official as it gets?

or is it like their site only has the "not cool stuff"? you just gotta "know" where to find the true hypebeast gear?
