Had to move out of our flat and haven’t really been able to buy due to lack of space and just staying at a friends house in London but have found a couple of things. E thrift RRL motorcycle jacket, Barbour wash bag for me to keep, suit supply linen blazer (peak lapels Angelico) I wouldn’t normally buy suit supply but it was just too good of a design to let up. Brooks brothers black fleece size large shirt. Brand new Ettinger bridle hide zip purse (E thrift) and some Cheaney loafers half a size too big for me from Oxfam. Saw a nice mint modern Lanvin tie today but left it, as well as a Turnbull and Asser (super ugly sadly) and a four pairs of Brioni size 36 pants all £35 each. I suspect the Brioni was from the same guy who had four custom Su Misra Zegna suits from 13 to 15 micron dated from 2008

Snagged a couple albums today. This being one of the better ones:

*Also I should Clarify - By "better" I mean it has a more interesting cover art and is more notable and recognizeable artist/album. Value wise it's like $10 at best. The Weird Al Yankovic underneath it is 5x as "valuable", but eh I collect for album art and listening first, resale value second.

Sort of thrift related/audio related brag.

Long story short(ish); we took a road trip out to Ohio for the annual VW Scirocco owners meetup (I know there are (or was) a few VW guys on here so I’ll include a couple photos of that). The host of the event’s father has some vintage Marantz gear he and I were talking about, as his son told me they were actually talking about selling it, we got on the subject of audiophile gear. He pointed to the airplane in the distance and said “I’ve owned that plane since 1976 and I’m the third owner. I found out after I bought it and looked at the log book that the original owner was Paul Klipsch (founder of Klipsch Speakers). He still has the log book and the correspondence between him and Paul. Super cool. He then offered to take the boys and I for a spin. So, in an effort to score some vintage stereo gear (he has to dig the stuff out still), I ended getting a ride in (and briefly fly) Paul Klipsch’s old personal airplane. He had also showed some some cool modifications Paul had made to the aircraft while it was in his possession. Pretty neat. We even found a photo of Paul Klipsch in the aircraft on the Klipsch website. We did hit some thrifts along the way, but didn’t find much. A few meh vintage tees and a 70’s shirt.

One of the vintage t’s I found. Not great, but hard to say no at that price.

Yeah I believe it was the "Fenton" model from 2015 A/W. It's quite thick and will need some serious breaking in. Looks hardly worn or just shelved in storage the wardrobe the whole time. I am lucky it does fit me though and since I don't have a leather jacket I think I'll start trying to break it in when it's a little cooler. The suit supply is a 36R which is really one size too small for me. My first MTM suit was around a 92 (36) but that was 10 years ago and when I was 20 so I am definitely a 38L now. I just couldn't let it sit in the shop because it is the exact style I like so took it home with me!

SuSu is a great seller, especially this design and colour! Easy money.
