Found a nice overcoat at GW’s $1 day. No tags on it except for the USA union-made tag. Is there anyway to get info off that? Seems like there’s a number on it.

My nearly 80 year old Star Sportswear A-2 says, otherwise... And it's definitely horsehide... Because Star only made this contract number in horsehide.

Referencing the horsehide vs. shell discussion, I can confirm that horsehide does not crease either. Here's a pair of White's horsehide boots (as confirmed by my bootmaker) that I recently listed, and there's no creasing on those. Just like shell. Go figure. Maybe someone needs to talk to Horween and see what they have to say . . .

This morning I found two pairs of charcoal wool trousers from Ede & Ravenscroft.
Almost identical except the leg width at ankle is slightly different.

They appear to be unworn, but I've no proof of that.

On to eBay later this week. 38 waist if anyone is interested.
