1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Haven't been out in awhile, so I was pretty surprised to find this near mint redline 501, there is a X mark inside the pocket. I'll let the photos do the talking.

I haven't posted much on this thread. My thrifting is pretty much limited to items for myself, although I've resold a few items that didn't work out.
Anyways, I had an idea. As we're nearing the end of the year, I thought it might be interesting to hear our top picks of the year (3-5 items or so). It doesn't have to be "most valuable for least amount paid", but items that we were really happy to get.
    What do you think?

My thrifted Charles Tyrwhitt boots I found awhile back (posted them before).

Was at the government monopoly-run liquor store tonight and some old dude stopped midstep looking at them to say "those are nice boots". Ha.

Had a 91....went through nearly anything. Traded up to an S6 wagon so I could drive the kid's car pool.

The '91 S2 can be imported now, so thinking about it next. S8 is my current ride

Some of my best finds of the year have arrived in the past week. My faves...

    Heart shaped ceramic Le Creuset.

Complete set of the film works of Charles and Ray Eames

Couple old Hermes ties, including a logo motif

70s true ERDL lightweight field jacket in medium long

Nicest leather jacket I've ever found. Vintage Schott A-2 that looks almost unworn. Siiiiiiick.

    All N/A except the ERDL.

OK. It looks like we've got a few others joining in. Here are mine:
    1. Footjoy monkstrap chukkas, e-thrift for $10 plus shipping.

    2. Allen Edmonds First Avenue boots, hardly worn, $26 plus shipping.

    3. Zegna Cashco corduroy blazer with surgeon cuffs (exactly in my odd long-armed size). $25 plus shipping. This one is in mint condition, and I love it.

    4. Allen Edmonds sharkskin shoes. These shoes were also in mint condition, and I have wanted shark for a while, so I splurged and spent $65, plus shipping.

Honorable mention: I bought a second pair of Allen Edmond First Avenue boots (appeared to be worn 1-2 times) for $38, plus shipping.

It's large... I had a feeling it was a medium you were after, but couldn't remember for sure.
