1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yes. Also terrible when you get that "found!" jolt on something super awesome only to find it has a size 11 doo doo footprint on the back of it and you have to dejectedly return it to the rack for the next poor bastard to get excited about.

judging from the label i'd say 50s but this is a reverse print so must be mid 60s. really a sweet fabric.
the brand is actually called "Made in California" lol.
they also had a shirt from a brand called "Made in Hawaii" and like an idiot i passed.

Is the Made In California tag like this one?

    http://www.thehanashirtco.com/produ...lympics_Swimming_Skiing_Hockey_Hawaiian_Shirt

The Hana Shirt Company is probably the best resource out there online for IDing vintage aloha shirts.

I picked up a 60s vintage Sears Aloha Shirt today. Pics will have to wait until Monday.

yes it's the same tag. that's actually been my best reference as well. great website.

but, reverse print, so i assume it's later. it's funny because they have a 60s MIC listed with a completely different tag.

looks like a palette knife painting. probably not a great answer to the question but i really don't give those a second glance, old or otherwise.

my brain automatically files that stuff alongside "shorescapes with obligatory crashing backlit waves and m-shaped gulls", "random portrait" and "last supper with mexican jesus"

EDIT: and just to be clear i'm not knocking anything - knife paintings, beachscapes, family portraits and ecclesiastical art all have their place without a doubt, but ime usually have more personal value than market value. $.02.

Took my wife out to dinner last night and had the added bonus of being able to bust out the Caruso suit I posted the other week.
    Everything thrifted by me.
    Caruso navy flannel chalkstripe
Gitman Bros (working on getting some Luxaire shirts with proper length collar points)
    BB chocolate cashmere tie
    Chocolate suede Alden's
    Have a great weekend gents!

Does anyone recognize this logo? I think it's Eddie Bauer, but the pegasus confuses me. The pegasus is also stamped on the brass zipper pulls:

Great look. Your post reminds me, what other shirts have longer collars? I would like some shirts with longer points for straight collars or Button-down. Is that a special order thing?

If you go to the WAYWRN thread and other CM threads, there's a lot of convo about custom collars for luxire shirts. If you like what someone is wearing, you can ask for the collar to be made that way when you order the shirts.
