Thanks, it was literally between the beams and the insulation, I saw the arm sticking out and wondered if there was some vintage Levi's back there but the dude wouldnt have appreciated me pulling his wall apart I think. I dont even want to sell this thing, first one ive found, probably the only.
That jacket is insane! Was it just kind of pushed back there (like on accident), or was it being used intentionally as insulation or something to block a draft?
I found a a whole bunch of 1930's chambray and salt & pepper work shirts being used as insulation in an old workshop/outbuilding wall when I was picking through an old farmstead about 10 years ago. Before fiberglass and rock-wool insulation, they used just about anything they could for insulation. I've seen newspapers, clothing and horsehair used as insulation.
