Please don't think I'm trying to promote or sell anything with this at all... This is a retroactive first for me.... Found these a little while ago sent them to snoogz and he just posted them. It was at that point I realized I'd found my first Alden and shell all at the same time... Ha I knew they were nice but didn't know how to distinguish maker or shell. I guess sometimes it's ok to know enough and recognize quality when you come across it. Was just funny to me I didn't really even know what I had. Not a bad $10 spent!

I can't comment on how well Massimo Dutti resells but I find they use excellent fabrics and I really like their fit. I believe they are owned by the same company as Zara but are completely different stores IMO. Much more safe and traditional. On that note I've found a few very recent Zara pieces that are nice to look at from a distance but the quality is awful and the fit is gross.

The boots themselves have no markings but the came with the shoe trees you see pictured and it looks like the boots were used with said tree's.

Any thoughts?

Just to add a bit more clarity: the best of the best stuff in there -- like the shoes -- were well above true thrift pricing (but still pretty dang good), because they're intended for personal use (and thus basically NA, unless you want to really wow me). I don't want to leave folks with the impression I found, for example, Edward Green twotone boots or a gaggle of Finamore NWT at my local.

On the other hand, there's also about a dozen Epaulet and Yount pants I've bought over the last month at pretty decent prices that I didn't photograph.

And this suit was part of the big SuitSupply buy that the other SuSu suits above came from. Again, paid up, but when everything is sold off, I will likely end up with the best pieces for free. And that's the whole plan with a lot of these big, expensive buys.

That sweater tag says New Waterford NS, right? Try googling "Marie Helen Chiasson" or "Mary Ellen Chiasson", should get some results.

a quick word about the tie - i like PRL italian ties but they really are very focused on loomcraft.
IMO the US-made o.g. PRLs are soooo nice in terms of foulard and whimsical prints.

Are RRL good for flipping? I pass on those all the time. I finally picked up 2 because in good condition and awesome pattern. Those jeans looks familar...
