Its normal and has nothing to do with your "size." No jeans can last more than 3 years without blowouts or in need of repairs if worn often. Did you expect them to last forever?

Usually this occurs from sagging the jeans and friction that occurs in that area.If you're not constantly repairing your jeans, you're not wearing them right!

LOL, well i do wear jeans every single day. i have a casual work environment. Gives me a good reason to get a few more low-straights!

I couldn't pass up the final sale price on the Posadas vest. I'm going to tea stain the cream color portions (as dark a brown as tea staining will allow) and/or use the Japanese dye technique of kakishibu to do it if the tea staining doesn't give good results (it usually does). Tea staining should work best and make it look really vintage and mottled brown...
