I rarely ever wash or soak my denim myself, but I’m mostly wondering if the waist will stretch an inch or so over time like some denim brands do

Haven't noticed any stretching or shrinking with mine..definitely not APC level which can stretch 1-2 sizes. 1" is a lot though. You'd probably be better off with a size up. If its too tight you'll never want to wear them

I returned the S because the body was too cropped for me (sleeves were perfect!). I ordered the M and then 3 days later get the OOS order cancellation message =(
