1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The inventory online reflects maybe 30% of the collections, maybe even less. And the online store can be misleading, it's not like the stock is high on the sale or even new items. The quantity drop down aren't accurate so while you may see choices for 9 quantity, there may be only 1 of the item left in stock.

What is the weight like on these? Made in China makes me worry given my past experience with Chinese cashmere, but I guess you can't complain with a price like that. I am looking for a particularly heavy ribbed cashmere shawl collar cardi and was considering this. J Crew had one last year that MII, but it was only released in limited quantities and my size sold out long before I could get to them. Any other recommedations for such a sweater?

    Thanks,

D&S is the new 'Polo Jeans' - its doing well because its relatively cheap - made by ralph lauren - and pleases a crowd that is interested in the western/country motifs that ralph loves. Its all very cheaply made, even the denim is meh - but look wise i can see how it appeals to certain people

^ They carry it at The Bay in Canada so I had a chance to check it out in person. The quality is definitely lacking but the presentation is noticeably better than all the other brands in the store.

The product selection on the flash and non-flash sites is not identical. For example, there are several pairs of shorts for sale on the flash site that are not listed - at least not yet - on the plain vanilla site.

How do you guys know the fabric is from China? As far as i know only construction is done in China and the majority of the fabrics come from Japan, UK, Italy etc. You only have to look at the denim to see Made in the USA but the fabric is from Japan.

UPDATE: I spoke to a contact at RRL and he confirmed RRL cashmere is from Italy.

    Hi Everyone!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Okay, I've picked up the odd hobby of collecting Ralph Lauren hang tags. And while I've managed to collect a couple dozen of these wonderful tags, it's becoming expensive to buy a garment just for the tag.

Anybody willing to part with their Ralph Lauren (RRL or Polo) hang tags? I'd also love to get my hands on an RRL shoe/boot box.

(BTW, I would've posted this in the classifieds, but as my account isn't 90 days old, I'm forced to do an end around. And if there's a different forum that I need to post this in, I'd be glad to post there.)

Regardless, thanks for this very informative forum!
