I’m in the Washington , DC area . I called the Ralph Lauren in DC and they sell Double RL but he said they don’t have sales lol

I've bought from some ebay sellers, but you'd probably want to buy from those who take returns so you can check sizes. There's a lot of variability. I've had good luck with independent store sales and just general availability for items that sell out quickly. Anyway, have fun!

Interesting. I only have a couple dozen pieces, but then I also have several dozen more from other RL lines. RL is one of the only retailers I buy without hesitation on sizing because I find their sizes to be extremely consistent.

I agree that some things are fairly consistent, e.g., Western shirts are a slim fit, usually. Jeans are pretty consistent, but you need to know how a style fits, e.g., slim fit vs. low straight vs. slim narrow all fit me differently in the same size. Size medium in a has changed a bit in shirts and overskirts. The site gives measurements so that's helpful. I usually size down in cotton pants but just ran across some that are TTS. Keeps you on your toes.

anyone have this shirt? I tried it on, but it's cropped like a bomber jacket, which is weird to me, but I like it other than that. It's just so short. I actually bought it online in a size bigger than my normal size (so I bought an xl), but I may return it. Am I missing something, or is it really supposed be cropped short?

That’s a jacket and it’s intentionally bomber shaped.

ok, that's why i didn't quite understand it. It's listed as an "overshirt", but jacket makes more sense.
