Since their is an official LA one, there should be a NY one too.

I'm from LA myself and would love dining and shopping recs since I visit often.

I'm going this weekend and will probably hit up.

Momuns
Kati Roll Company
Catch
Blue Ribbon Brasserie
Breslin

I'm staying at the Ace so I'll let you guys know if that hotel is any good.

Let me know how Catch is. I always liked the look of Hung's food on Top Chef. It'd be cool to actually eat some. And since you're going to be in that neighborhood, you should wander into Jeffrey on 14th st & 10th Ave.. Lots of dope stuff in there. Also, get a sandwich at No. 7 Sub since you're at the Ace. Cheap and really good.

Done on all those recs.

Yah, I've always been fan of Hung's food from Top Chef too. Hopefully it doesn't dissapoint.

Nice... I just got back from the city (from LA). I agree that all the momofukus are overrated.

Highlights from what I had:
Burger from Spotted Pig (Roquefort cheese though)
Katz Deli (if you didn't get it yet... I'm in love with their pastrami)
***** Cue (Brooklyn but I heard they opened a Manhattan location)
Eleven Madison Park

I want some shopping advice but here is the deal...

I don't want to spend large amounts of money unless the articles is really ******* cool.

So the shops I'm gonna hit up are Topman and Uniqlo this time.

You guys know of any other shops that have trendy well made clothes but for cheaper prices? Or any sales this weekend?

Also gonna eat at the Breslin.

Uniqlo is opening this Friday so I'm sure there will be some sales. Pretty sure it'll be crazy though.

Epaulet

Good thread idea.

Blue in Green, Self Edge, and Jean Shop locations could all be worth a visit if you're a raw denim fanboy. There's also the All Saints flagship if you like derivative stuff (not saying that in the pejorative sense).

Anyone have recommendations for cheap hotels? I'm trying to plan a long weekend sometime later this year, and my ladyfriend can't really chip in for it.

Pastrami at Katz's is the best. It's right near Epaulet and Self Edge too, so that's a bonus. My favorite corned beef, though, is at The Stage in midtown on 7th Ave and like 55th or something. So ***** and delicious with lots of mustard... Manhattan location of ***** Cue is on Carmine St. in the West Village. If you're in Soho you should wander down Howard St. (it's just above Canal and pretty close to Topman). Opening Ceremony is over there (not cheap) and so is Dunderdon, which is probably more in your budget. Head up Crosby St. a little till you see a covered walkway on your right. Enter it to go to Imperial No. Nine, the restaurant at the Mondrian. Just sit and have a drink. It's not super cheap—$12 cocktails, which is pretty typical—but the place is beautiful.

If you want a fun place to drink, go to Ward III in Tribeca. Crowd can be douchey, but ignore them. The place has great cocktails, and you can get a custom one made for you. You pick the liquor, the flavors, etc. and they'll whip one up on the spot to match your description.

Wow I just read that Uniqlo is opening up another store on 34th next week.

Why can't LA get any Uniqlo love????????????????
