I had them use Uncle Nearest rye for this Manhattan and I thought it tasted pretty good. Sagamore Spirit is a great local rye. Never tried Wild Breed rye but I love the bourbon. Might be a little high proof for an already spirit forward cocktail though?
Yeah, those super high proof Rye's can be good but dangerous at the same time.

Alright! 25 miles on the bike with a beer and crab cake sandwich at Nick’s on the G-town waterfront. Great place to sit outside while grungy. Also, a Sea Stallion fly over!

I had just gotten back on my bike and was on the Key Bridge when two of the President's Sikorsky's flew over. Couldn't get my phone out fast enough!

IMG_0122.jpeg IMG_0126.jpeg IMG_0131.jpeg tried Guerra steakhouse for wife’s birthday and brought out the Winson boots w/Hancore’s patina work.

The food was fantastic. It reminded me of Rays the steaks. Oddly enough it is in the same location and had some of the exact same items on the menu as well…I asked if there was any connection between the two but our server denied it.

and to answer several different but admittedly related questions together, "because we're headed to New Orleans in 2 weeks for our 20th anno vow renewal and second line."

(and if anyone is gonna be in nawlins on the 16th and wants free Antoine's, hit me up)

Anyone know any place in the area that will press, not steam, a suit? Reading through the thread suggests Parkway knows what they're doing but they're expensive (and quite far - I'll drive, but would prefer something in VA if possible). Thanks in advance.

I do that myself hahah. I had my tailors give me a lesson on pressing the lapels.

Don’t steam a suit, of course, because it takes out the hours of ironic your tailor put into the jacket.

Parkway picks up and delivers to parts of NoVA. Their range is in the website.

What do they charge? I may be confusing them with someplace else but don’t they charge different prices based on the brand/construction?
No charge I believe. I’ve only used it once.
