I'm curious if any of you know of a good leather cleaner for leather jackets? Been looking off and on for a while but haven't committed to any. My usual dry cleaner mentioned they could send my leather jackets to a specialist but they said it can take a while with the person they work with. Is Parkway good for leather as well?

I'm sure they do leather, but I'm not sure they specialize in leather. I'd recommend checking out this SF Leather Thread. The people who post there know a lot about products to use for cleaning. Also, they may tell you to embrace the patina. Finally, you could check out Bedo's Leatherworks. Steve does top notch shoe repairs and also works with leather jackets and bags - replacing lining, zippers, alterations, and cleaning. Steve is expensive and the wait time can be very long. But, he's the best in the area for leather repairs.

Just blend in!
Exactly. Like Brummell said:

“If people turn to look at you on the street, you are not well dressed, but either too stiff, too tight, or too fashionable.”

Question relating to style in DC.

My question is this... would European styling blend in or stand out in what seems to be a quite conservative city, with very little "flamboyance" (that I've seen).

Some of the more interesting style I've seen around DC is from young people walking around union market. Very little classic tailoring though.

Darker socks would be better.

This is similar to my own come to Jesus moment regarding light brown shoes and various colored trousers. To summarize you want to ideally use colors and fit etc to draw attention to your face as much as possible. When you have shoes, sock, pants that are louder than the top. It pulls the attention down working against your goal. Unless you got horseface and you want people looking at your feet instead.

Top Shelf Apparel having 25% off sale this weekend. Great place to find new Oxxford, Zegna, Isaia, Brioni and others at seriously affordable prices.

What’s CM?
Classic Menswear. Tailoring, dress shoes, ties, etc. Goofy socks seemed to be a phase recently but, for me at least, CM calls for OTC dress socks. Usually dark Navy but I'll mix in houndstooth, herringbone and such as the situation warrants.

My go-to after years of experimentation:
