Still Springtime! Humidity was up as rain is inbound. Barbour weather tomorrow for sure.

Shame as I’m flying back to England tomorrow!

When I’m here in June I’m bringing nothing but linen.

Yeah man this was but a taste I am afraid. You will need to get accustomed to it if you are convinced on moving here. July-August can be brutally hot/humid. It is truly the humidity that blows.

At least you are accustomed to humid winters.

The reason I’ll be moving here is worth it.

I hear ya. I was tricked by my then girlfriend and now wife.

On the note of linen. I’m curious what everyone’s preferences are for blazers/sport coats/suit in regard to solid linen or blends. Also which colors you personally gravitate to. Do you prefer patterns over solids?

I have:
Beige Linen/Cotton suit
Green/Brown Houndstooth W/L SC
Chocolate Brown W/L SC
Shepherds Check Unknown Linen Blend SC

Anyone interested in a meetup? Seems like we're overdue for one. A few restaurants with nice outdoor spaces recently opened in Adams Morgan.

June 7 may be a mini meet up with the NMWA visit. I'd be up for another as well.

Interested.

Between some business travel and vacay, booked until early June, don't let that stop the planning though, maybe the stars will align and I can make whatever day is chosen.

I ordered linen trousers from solbiati and the pants always bag. I would only use Irish linen for suits/pants.
Unpopular opinion, I don’t like irish linen. it’s hot in DC and heavy.

Yeah, I wear it for outdoor stuff here as it's breathable and durable. Out when I know I'll be a sweaty mess no matter what. Only Italian linen with tailoring or when out in nice places.
