Bballs are much roomier. Length is the same as Achilles but the toe box is higher and wider. I take the same size in Achilles and bballs but bballs are perfect right out of the box, Achilles are really snug and need to be broken in.

Bballs same width and length as Achilles but with more volume for us with thick feet. They are the same sole. I'd probably size down if Achilles aren't tight on your forefoot out of the box.

If I am US 7.5 will CP Achilles low 40s work for me? Can someone who owns Achilles in that size confirm that the length of the shoe (outsole) is approx. 11.5in? It seems from what I've read that if I size down to 39 I might risk it being crushingly narrow...

I'm a US7.5 in dress shoes, US8 in sneakers and the Achilles 40 fits me fine (including my orthotics)

Happy to confirm that Achilles low in 40 fits me fine as well (I take US 7.5 in most shoes/boots). There is slightly more room in the toebox--lengthwise--than I'm used to, but this is actually a good thing. The much-vaunted narrowness of the shoes feels fantastic on my feet. I might try 39 at some point but I think 40s would be best.

The off-white color looks great. I'll try to post pics later.

Edit: photos below.

I don't find they run large I wear a 12 straight across the board. I buy a 12 in every shoe I buy. Same goes for CP I buy a 45 and they fit perfect.

+1 on sizing down on bballs.

i cant wear achilles bc of narrow width but bballs is fine. 45 fits a little roomier than i'd like but 44 was a bit small. id fit 44.5 perfectly but they dont make half sizes unfortunately.

Just as a side note. I like the CPs I own. But I find them a bit overrated. Diemme and Golden Goose are much better alternatives.

Some clarification would help.

I wouldn't purchase CP at retail--I think they're absolutely overpriced at $350+. But if one can get them new or near-new around $200-250, then they seem quite alright IMO.

Edit: For instance, a big reason I like CP Achilles is that they look sleeker than their dimensions would suggest. Certainly among sneakers, they're probably the ones with the most elegant toebox. I hate bulbous clown-shoe toeboxes, which is my main reason for liking the Achilles.

I don't find the silhouette or design of Diemme nicer than CPs plus they aren't that much cheaper either.

I like Golden Goose but they are more skater style and the distressed look might not be to everyones taste. Which makes them less versatile and can't dress them up like CPs.
