I'm assuming they are horse, definitely looks like they have the sheen and not the dryer texture of calf. Got them for 455 USD shipping, really good price.

Fingers crossed they fit.

Are there any options for horse leather combat boots with a lug sole and without zippers besides the Guidi 795V? I don't like the way Guidis fit on my feet (probably gonna sell my 788VSes in size 43, if anyone's interested), but I want something nice to thrash in cold winters in cities with a terminal addiction to salting all their sidewalks.

I've been considering just buying some Corcorans and wearing them into the ground, but I'd rather have something more interesting.

I’m an 11 and have been wearing my backzips with a spenco comfort sole and thin socks, so far so good. Funny thing is I tried the fancy insoles (superfeet etc) and they didn’t work as well but that’s probably because I just wanted to soften my step.

Please give us an update once you get them! I'm very curious how the new s23m models fit - especially the instep. If they're still crushingly low I'll have to size up as well when I eventually get a pair.

Any recommendations for a matte neutral shoe polish / cream / paste? I want to show a pair of Guidis some love but without losing the natural variation in color (and without creating a high shine).

I usually use saphir renovateur first, wait till it is absorbed, then saphir neutral creme polish, and brush it until my arm dies. It does not give mirror like, but rather a gentle polish. Makes you feel they are indeed polished but not so flashy. Works very well with my guidi 788z and 995. Just do not apply too much

Thanks! I've got some renovateur. I'll maybe pick up some creme polish as a second step.
