Thanks for the Jcrew tip. Just picked up the NST Suede Boots in size 10 and used a $75 fall jcrew card reward as well -- so $350 for what is a pretty unique makeup sounds good. Haven't seen them in person so hope they look good. Fingers crossed.

I had a similar experience a few months ago with Alden of NYC and my cigar PTB's... ...Alden offered to refinish them a second time. I declined and asked them to send me these instead: Happy with my decision and even happier with the great service from the folks at Alden of NYC!

Thanks for the input. I'm thinking about throwing in the towel with these as well. I'd love to simply exchange for a new pair of cigar PTBs but as that's not possible, I'll likely end up exchanging for color 8.

My new pair of Cooney boots arrived today. Will have to wait until fall, unfortunately. These look comfy.

Wait till Fall because they are boots? Because they are suede? Or just because? Many on here would tell you there is no need to wait till Fall. But do as you see fit. BTW, they are about as comfy as boots get. A great boot.
