No need at all to take off your Aldens if you have TSA Pre. Just keep them on, point at the other scanner (not the metal detector) and go through when told. I fly weekly and haven't taken off my Aldens in at least a year...maybe two.
An option at SJC but not all airports. LAX terminal 1 this morning did not have it.

#8 LHS.

These ones fit me great. Oddly I also recently picked up snuff suede LHS in the same size and last and those are WAY too tight across the instep. Neither shoe has been worn a whole lot so it's hard for me to believe the vamp will loosen that much, but maybe?[

something in cigar or snuff would be my choice. Brooks Bros offers a snuff boot on discount from time to time. Cigar would have to come from one of the alden shops, most likely with a bit of a wait.

Suede Wingtip Boot

Agreed or a shell tanker.

Love the idea of the suede wing tip. Aren't the shell tankers just like my Dr. Jones with the one inch of extra stitching? Seems redundant to me.

The Dr. Jones and tankers are similar, the Tanker being far more casual.
I have both boots and the Dr. jones aren't seeing much foot time lately.
I will keep them both as they are awesome!

You may want to fill in some other gaps first before obtaining similar models.
The tankers are easier to come by when your ready, well at least a dark edge
option.

Suede may be a good option. I've been eyeing the Frans Boone suede boots
on the grant last.

Anyone have some pics in the wild of the Frans Boone suede Parajumper
on the grant last? I've been eyeing these for some time but have never seen
a photo of them on feet.
