1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

First time wearing them? Glad to see more #8 Unionmade boots. Those are on commando? I have the Cap Toe version and try to wear them at least 2-3 times each month. I want to see more #8 Wingtip boots out in the wild! We (myself at least admittedly) get caught up in the rare shell too often.
Nice! I am waiting on an Indy boot to come in and really hope the Trubalance last works for me! The more I see posts like yours, the more I get hopeful that it's a comfy boot, even if it's a volumous last.

Not a huge fan of blue suede, but these look pretty sweet. The ravello LHS are exquisite!

@chrisefi they are a little volumous I use a thin insert in mine like the odor eater ones to take a little bit of the room.

I am late to the 2014 Purchase game, but here it is

990 from Alden SF - First Alden!!

#8 LWB with Antique edge from Leffot

    Navy CXL Indy - JG

Cigar LWB - Also from Alden SF but returned it because the cigar was too dark for my liking

    2015 pre-ordered

    Ravello LWB

Cigar LWB - Hope this time I get a lighter color

    2015 Wish list

    King 975

Cigar/Ravello Balmorals - either captoe or perf captoe would do, or both! I need them for work!

    BB #8 SWB

    Ravello SW Boot

    King Tanker

Epaulet Indy - personally, I think it's one of the best Indy makeups out there.

Now, if I gotta prioritize for my wish list, the bals would be the first to get, then probably the 975!

Weather has been dreary, so I had to pick the best looking thing indoors to snap with my new camera:

tv2177's post has me wondering what most here would recommend as a first Alden. It's hard to argue with the 990...

Mine was the Indy. Which is the same for a few other people I know from another forum. Jcrew and their sales codes made it tempting to try out these super expensive shoes. From there, it's like a drug. Too bad the jcrew codes no longer seem to work on Aldens.

My first was the Color 8 Tassel. It all depends on people's preferences.

Agree, it is up to one preferences. Although not my first, if I had to do it all over again, it would be the 975s

I think maybe this should be the question: if you had to do it over again, which Alden shoe would be your first?

Might anyone be able to point me in the direction of a US stockist with a snuff suede dover (barrie) in size 8d?
