Got a question, I'm saving up for the cap toe Shell Cordovan boot, color #8. It might be about three months or so until I'm able to afford it, does this style have any risk of being discontinued any time soon or is it too popular of a style to be discontinued? These are quite honestly the nicest boots I've ever seen. Looking forward to my first pair of Alden's.

Has styleforum recently optimized their site for mobile? Maybe my phone just now decided to cooperate...either way, this is luxurious.

I noticed this too...SF must have optimized for mobile because it looks so much better on my iPhone now

Try accessing it via Tapatalk (app store). Works really well for SF

I've traditionally used Tapatalk on iPhone, but now I may just access through Safari due to the improvement

I had 3 pairs of LWB in my cart last night (dark brown, tobacco and suede). forgot to order before midnight (got caught up with bottling beer) I'm kind of glad I didn't purchase them at this point since none of the LWB were cordovan and I felt like I was settling. The one pair I did want was the camel buck but my size was not available in camel. so I'm feeling a bit relieved today!

I had them but ended up selling them after wearing them maybe 5 times in 8 months. After wearing them a few times, I had decided that the color was just a little bit too bright for my taste. I really like the style of the plain toe boot though.

As others had mentioned, looks so much better than the stock pics on J Crew website....

Normally, I wouldn't consider paying over $400 for a pair of boots so when I was boot shopping, I didn't even give this a thought. But if JCrew accidentally discounts them in the future, I would seriously consider picking up a pair to round up my boot collection.

you literally could have bought them at discount yesterday from jcrew, around $350.
