Seriously! There must be some secret proprietary step in his method that he has not revealed to us.  Haven't been able to get mine quite that shiney.  Maybe its just his decades of experience.

I think wax makes it's way onto the shell more than he'd like to admit :paranoia:...because I often feel the same :nodding:

the method states that wax should be avoided until it is necessary. the ultimate goal is never to use wax. my whiskey indy has not been wax

The Shoe Mart has some new "Indy Cap Toe" boots in "Repello" suede and Navy suede:

Funny that they're listing the color as "Repello".
Repollo is a type of stain resistant finish; not a color.

just about. Alden prices circa 2010. yoox has a 10% discount floating around. $385 shipped for that shoe is not bad at all

^ beautiful pair. you got off easy with those "minor" defects. how do the vamps look under the light? they appear mismatched but it may be the photos.

The vamps are only slightly mismatched in shade, but its very very hard to tell in natural light. I think the lamp I had on the shoes while taking pics made the reflection on each vamp appear significantly different.

Different names for the same color suede:

"Milkshake"
"Marble"
"Repello"

Any others?
