Great collection. Good job.
Thanks! I had actually seen this wonderful blog post from Horween (and left a response there begging for some more detailed write-ups of each of the CXL flavors!). I know the Kudu is very good for water resistance. And I think you're right, I can just go for whatever floats my boat, since they'll all be keeping me dry and still looking good.
I think even calf would be more than waterproof enough for most uses. Kudu and chamois will be even more so. Because the tongue is not integrated with the shoe that will be your point of failure. If you step in water that covers part of the tongue your feet will get wet.

Obviously I don't know where he got his, but here are two places on the web for interesting colored shoe laces. Think the first is having a bit of a father's day discount as well.

the second pic, to me that's perfect, exactly what I want.
I'll run over to Moulded Shoe this week and drop the boots off.
You totally helped - Thanks!!

Fwiw, those are my Pitt boots in chamois, the conversion is excellent and the sole is exactly what I wanted (and what the boots wanted, IMO). Happy to answer any questions but highly recommend if you're considering.
