Just came back from an hour walk with these new Indy boots. I am really impressed with how comfortable they are right out of the box, no rubbing, no chafing, no heal slip. The neocork sole feels nice and the turbulence last suits me.

Saphir makes sole edge dressing in multiple colors. I'm sure others carry it, but I know Kirby Allison Hanger Project does.

Yesterday was the maiden voyage of these tan suede chukkas on crepe from Alden of Madison. This is basically a Clark's Desert Boot built to Alden standards of quality. The crepe sole gets very little love around here, but it sure is comfortable -- very, very comfortable. We'll see how well it wears, but as of right now, it's the most comfortable sole in my lineup.
