Hoping someone can point to a place to buy replacement laces for my Alden Kudu chukkas. I ordered the Shoemart 21" chukka laces, but they are too thin in comparison to what is on the chukkas now (and for what I want on them).

what's the best way to try on shoes to make sure they fit correctly.
got a pair of unlined chukka on the way that I had to re-buy because my original pair after wearing for the past year I was brought to realize are too narrow.
so want to make sure the pair on the way are right sized or would need to be exchanged.

I don't know the "best way" but I put them on, lace them up and walk around a bit on carpet. If they are way off, you will know it really soon. Since I'm a pretty generic 8.5/9D I don't really have the issue much as if it's an 8.5 or 9D I can wear it without discomfort. Actually measure in between 8.5 and 9, but Alden's seem to be "loose" enough in tolerance that I don't have an issue, usually. I say, put them on and see and that's the "best way" to check.

Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.
