Sizing advice please on their suiting. Anyone own both Natalino and Spier Mackay and can comment on how they compare size/fit wise? Considering they don't have easy returns for the US, I'm a bit hesitant to try them out.
They have super easy returns, probably easiest international I’ve dealt with.

I’m a 46R in S&M, but probably could go 44R if I were pushing my tolerances - I prefer a bit of ease and controlled “sloppiness”.

Natalino 54 is a touch slimmer than S&M 46, but not prohibitively. I have a Natalino Marling & Evans tweed from a few years ago.

Having said that - I ordered 54 in the high-twist navy suiting, and was too slim for me. I know they’ve been experimenting with different manufacturers since my jacket purchase. Hope this helps.

Just a quick update here. I got the the size 46 and it fits me similar to a Spier 38 Slim Neo, but I am getting excessive collar gap and will have to return. Just a few complements on Natalino to note:

1) I ordered it on Monday evening. I received a shipment notification the next morning on Tuesday. The package was delivered by UPS Express on Wednesday. UK to the USA in literally 2 days. I don't even know how that's possible.

2) I emailed Natalino for a return request on Wednesday evening. I received a full return label on Thursday morning (today).

I don't understand how they can work this fast. This alone will give me the confidence to try more of their stuff. Spier & Mackay can definitely learn something from these guys.

Oh, just thought I'd mention this here, forgot to at the time. I met up with Nathan for drinks in Florence in January. He was wearing all Natalino, of course. Looked great, but more importantly was a super great guy to hang with and chat with.

Ya their customer service is great. Sorry you had collar gap issues. I didn’t really have that. I feel Spier Neo Cut and Natalino are truly the best overall jackets you can buy under like 800 dollars.

For Natalino jackets, are they forgiving? Or is it generally on the slimmer side. I want to give this a try but trying to figure between 48 or 50. If their cut is generally slim, I'd be more confident going up to a 50. And do people size up per se to wear with a knit underneath their jacket?

What about alterations, do people find their OTR offering requiring more or less alterations? And what type of alterations have others been getting done e.g., taking in the waist, chest, shortening sleeves?

I'm confident I need a size 50 in their matching trousers. And I can always take in the waist. My preference is also 8" taper and the size 50 is just short of that. The pants also come with cuffs. I imagine shortening it would not be complicated if needed, right?

There was some references to S&M: I've tried a size 40 in their Neapolitan contemporary cut 4-5 years ago and the jacket was a tad large I recall. A 38 would've been fine I am guessing.

FWIW I do like what I see online. I would like to order the olive brush cotton jacket and matching trousers.

The armhole is the point most people would pinpoint as the cause of fit issues, if they have them. It's a high armhole. If you've tried, say, RLBL's Anthony cut, it's about that high (if my memory serves and the Anthony cut hasn't changed in the 9 years since I owned one lol).
Otherwise, the shoulder width is wider than Spier's; the length is about the same; and the chest is about the same.
If you seem to be in between sizes based on the measurement chart, go up one, I'd say.

Just placed an order for this based on my Spier size https://natalino.co/products/double...mock-leno-wool-hopsack?variant=42428834611398

Would you happen to know if the armhole is higher than Spier's from last season when they raised the armhole (and retracted this season)?
