Does anyone know how the d1177's fit? Are they OW? I need to know how I should size with a 34" and I can't find the measurements despite much frantic searching.

I would get the Samurai 500s. I'm a big Samurai fan and these look like they're going to be very special. Texas cotton is a nice feature as well as all the usual samurai stitching, buttons, etc. In addition, I'm guessing the fit will fall between the Jomons and AIs.

i don't know why exactly- but samurai's never "do it" for me. i can't put my finger on it.... maybe it's because i've never seen any broken in.
