JAB used to have tailored fit pants. I haven't shopped there in a few years, but the few pair that I bought back then are alright. They weren't much slimmer than usual, but they did the job. They've held up well. OTR "slim-fit" is going to be hit or miss. What I consider to be "slim" is much slimmer than what a lot of retailers consider to be slim.

I tried Brooks Brothers slim fit khakis. Way too full just like the JAB khakis.

I picked up a pair of BR Emerson vintage straight chinos. I like the fact that they are slimmer through the thigh compared to the Gavin's. The chinos are a little more casual, but will still work in a business casual atmosphere. I also picked up a pair of BR Tailored slim non-iron cotton pants. They are really nice.

I can definitely see the better quality of BR over Gap in terms of fit and finish, but I still plan on keeping and wearing the Gap khakis. I'll make a more accurate and fair accessment once I have worn them all for a while.
