Hey, I would like to order a custom made Merano coat. Anybody know is the Merano fit fits the same or is it smaller now? I own a merano from 2015, in a size 50 which is perfect and just a bit above the knees, could the extra 25 cm be too much ? I want to get a dark gray evergreen classic.

Received my outlet order and I've got to say that I'm very pleasently surprised by the jort bamboo SC. A lot less summery than I expected.

Anyone with experience how it wears?
I have it and like it. I got it as an exchange for the April 2020 outlet as a sportcoat I received had a snag and no other sizes left.
It's nice, but it sucks that they didn't do L sizes (26,38,40 etc). I wrinkles a lot. Honestly you can wear this year long. Why did you think it had to be summery?

Some unfounded assumptions, I suppose :)

I went up a size as 98 is starting to be a little bit tight across the shoulders, and 52 is alright but yeah a bit longer wouldn't have hurt and I might nip the waist a little.

Does anyone know what changes SuitSupply makes on their short trousers for custom made? For instance, what is the difference between 30 and 30S? Curious about whether this is limited to inseam or do they change rise or anything? With their already low rises, I would be shocked if they can go any lower ...

When I worked there (2019), the rise was indeed shorter on a Short (S) model. But it's not by much - it was between 1-2cm from what I remember. I'll note that the Long (L) also had a higher rise by 1-2cm as well, but the waist is on smaller on a Long by a half size. For example a 30L trouser actually had what would be a 29 size waist, which is about 3cm smaller than the standard 30 waist size, iirc.

I always ordered the Long model trousers for a higher rise in custom. How exactly the pants taper will also differ between short & long, something to keep in mind. The different pant models also taper slightly differently. For example I remember the Washington pant tapering to about the calf area then straightening out completely. The Soho slim would taper all the way down to the leg opening.

Try to find a knowledgeable Susu associate for custom, unfortunately, most of them won't know these little differences in sizes. Maybe if they were a former made-to-measure specialist (they might've gotten rid of that title? not sure)

My only issue with those suits is that you can see EVERYTHING through them. You can see every seam in the jacket and everyone else can see that you're wearing your purple thong that day too. Outside of that... They're cool.

Hey all! I purchased a new suit on Black Friday and would love your thoughts on fit and style vs. my current SuitSupply suit in nearly the same color. First thoughts of mine are keep the néw one and sell the SS but j want to get some opinions from others first :)

thanks!

They both look good! Out of curiosity, why do you like the first one (the one you want to keep) over the older one (the one you want to sell)

Thank you sir! Well at the risk of getting some judgmen

I like the slimmer lapel width (closer to Havana lapel although probably just a hair slimmer), little trimmer fit, and less structured shoulders. But mostly the lapel width which I know makes me an outlier here :)

definitely curious what others think!

I understand why you may like the slimmer lapel, you're a thin guy and it looks pretty good on you. However, I am going to go with the SuSu suits here. If you compare both with the tie you have on, you can see that the proportions are off with the first suit. My question would be are most your ties the standard width? If so, go SuSu. If most are skinny ties stick to the first.

I recently visited their Copenhagen based store and what a great experience that was! I bought a pair of wool trousers, the fabric being VBC and the overall quality extremely well made. Side adjusters, a double pleats which really gives it a classic look and then I had it tailored a bit to make it perfectly fit.

They have now added measurement alterations on online custom made orders online for shirts! I figure they will add this for suits aswell in the future!

Yeah I saw that, very cool. I'm planning on getting measured after lockdown. Then I can just order these MTM shirts online with my measurements, seems pretty nifty.

I already got my perfect fit in store, so I can now start doing them myself. Real convenient. A perfectly fitting popover shirt with a great collar for under 100€ is pretty much not possible elsewhere (except for luxire for some fabrics perhaps)
