Yeah, and that would also explain their recent refusal to do any more CMT work.

thanks for the input guys.

Maybe i will just choose whatever cloth pattern appeals to me (rather than trying to figure out beforehand if 9 or 10 oz is more optimal).

As i said, i may try and do something like a brioni type shape - there is something hard to describe about it because it is certainly structured but at the same time is not very stiff like a lot of english cuts i have seen (excluding soft, drape like cuts). I am wondering if i pick an english fabric would it still be possible to get the fluidity of a brioni or italian like garment - or am i better off picking an itialian fabric if that is the shape i want?

I am consistently baffled that spammers actually think anyone will fall for this.

I think you should. He clearly has a lot of respect for his customers. He is all about integrity and straight forward business practices.

It's possible Chan has to pay import duties. Also possible that they are getting the VBC for next to nothing.

The irony being that if they were upfront and said, "Hey, I have this company, this is what we do, I hope that some of you will check us out, in the meantime I'm happy to have found this forum and hope to enjoy it here," people would probably be really receptive. I don't understand why 99.9% think that the proper way to approach customers is to pretend to be one.

If that were the case, their labor charge for a VBC suit would be nearly double the CMT price they used to quote. Dr. Teplitz is right on the money.

Gotcha. Not being a customer, I'm not really familiar with their prices. And at those prices, with no CMT option, I won't be a customer.

Most of the time I don't understand how the tailor charge for difference cloth.
Is it because they think the customer don't know the price of the cloth or how long they need to make a suit?
