So I've been looking for a stylish pair of boots (preferably f/w) but I've fallen short. I can't seem to find one that I like aside from one that I was too late to find.

I really like the dark brown version of those JV boots but unfortunately they are sold out in my size.

Does anyone know of any alternatives / brands that have similar styling?

Thanks!

p.s. i dont really want something like wolverine because the solid leather makes it seem a little formal/bulky for my taste.

Most people will agree that Gentleman Travelers/1000 mile/Katahdin are all good choices.

I know most people say desert boots are for spring/summer, but I live around Atlanta where the winters are fairly mild, so I can rock some Clarks plus thick socks and be fine. Depends where you live.

yea i understand. the wolverines 1000 miles are actually quite nice. but not EXACTLY my style... and for $350 i want it to be MY style.

im in a similar situation as you too. currently i am in a somewhat warmer climate and so during winter suede boots will do just fine. such as the JV boots i posted above.

i finally found another site that had them but they were also out of stock on the sizes i want.

I checked out most of those threads and the thing is... all those boots like wolverine, red wing, ll bean, timberland are very nice shoes, but they don't exactly fit my style. they are just a tad boxy/bulky for my taste and have super thick soles.

im still looking for something thats a bit more stylish/trendy like the JV ones
