Auction 19:
Kapital Denim Wabash Print St. Domingo Jacket from www.standardandstrange.com
Ends at 8 p.m. PST Thursday Dec 29, or 10 minutes after the last bid, whichever comes later.

Kapital has been a forum staple on the Streetwear and Denim side for a while now. It's a brand known for mixing traditional Japanese fabrics and techniques with design inspirations from around the world, including a LOT of American workwear. And it's know for it's use of materials like boro and Sashiko and interesting dyes, in unsual pieces (like the persimmon dyed, sashiko stitched jeans that @Synthese loves.) This jacket is both distinctive and wearable. (I know that I like it).

Let's start the bidding... now.

As for all these auctions, 100% of the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (www.rmhc.org), an organization that helps house and feed the families of children who have to travel for medical care. It's an incredibly stressful and emotionally drainging time for families, and financial issues associated with loss of time at work, only compound those stresses. The Ronald McDonald Houses do their best to alleviate that stress by providing food and shelter and a home away from home for these families. I know that during this time, there are many worthy charities to support, and we really appreciate your taking part in these charity auctions.

The retail price is approximately $450 (USD)

We will start the bidding at $225.
The bidding will go by minimum increments of $20.

So yes, it will be hard to beat @Gerry Nelson in the wearing of this jacket, but that doesn't mean you guys shouldn't give him a run for his money and also support a good cause.

Do it for the kids.

Cheers,

Fok,

What sizes do they have on that jacket, and how does it fit? From past experience, I'm a 2 in their button-up shirting but a 3 in their t-shirts.

@LA Guy @StrangeJeremy
@StrangeJeremy told me that they have a size 42, and 44, on hold, for us. I believe that they fit a bit on the small side. The model above is a size 38-40, AFAIK.

Cheers,

Fok.

Argh. Assuming that it's going by North American suit/jacket sizing, it would be too big on me.

I fluctuate between 36 and 38.

Yeah, that jacket (even the size 42) will probably be a bit large for you. It is more like a size 38, AFAIK. Sorry...

Good news everyone. While I can't bid because my wife would kill me... When I modeled it for the photo, I felt it fit rather well. I wear what would be 36 and 38 sized jackets in the USA (46IT in Caruso, 48IT in Isaia, Eidos). Size 15/38 in shirts (Barba, Eidos, G. Inglese). I'm approximately 172 cm.

What size jacket were you wearing for the photo?

I don't recollect. I believe it was the 42, but you can have Fok double check what they sent for the photo with Standard and Strange. I'll note that the chest wasn't slim on me but the shoulders and sleeve and body length were all good. Meaning you could possibly layer it with a light sweater underneath.

Edit: I confirmed with Fok. It was the size 42.

Yes, that was the size 42. There is also the larger jacket marked with a size 44, but which will apparently fit 40-42.

Yes, Kapital is the wierdest sized brand...
