Whoops, you're right. Two years.

Is the twice a year thing new? As of last year, I only received notice of their usual winter visit.

Yes, it's very new. They will do twice-yearly visits in both San Francisco and Los Angeles, in February and June. Great news for men on the West Coast!

They'll be in Los Angeles on the 24th and 25th of June. Not sure if San Francisco will be visited in June of 2019 (you can check with them), but will definitely be twice a year in 2020.

I'm so sorry for reviving an old thread, but I was wondering if there were views on Redmayne vs. Steed? Whatever happened between the two as I believe Tom Mahon also co-founded Steed? Thanks very much for all the great information on this thread... I think I will commission from Steed at the very least but perhaps also from Redmayne.

Tom Mahon and Edwin went their separate ways quite a while back, I believe. I have no experience with the others but can vouch for Steed doing stellar work. Some pics of my stuff

I have a jacket from each. A navy hopsack from Tom and a tweed from Edwin. Both are rock solid and would use both again. For me, the frequency of visits would be the deciding factor in which to try first

Has anyone received a finished garment from Solito based solely on Solito’s trips to SF? That is, you did not see him in Italy or any other city he visits on his tailoring tour.
Perusing this thread again since it popped back up … here’s the jacket that I ordered from Solito during Luigi’s first visit to San Francisco. It was finished and arrived in January 2020. I got good Zoom use out of it for two years. 😂 Pic is from this past spring. The fabric is from the Harrisons Icarus book—a wool-silk-linen blend. Not sure why it was catching on my right hip that day.
