Hi Gents,
I'd like to use the forum's wisdom and see if you guys, and gals, could point me to some resources on the types of jobs in financial services and finance. I know, financial services is a big wide world and I'm looking for positions that will cater to my strengths (quant analysis not being one of them) and finding research about the types of positions available has been surprisingly difficult.
I'm looking for any resources or advice on the types of jobs available in wealth managment, financial services, and private banking.
If it helps here is a little background-
My strengths and experience are in sales, marketing, and contrarian thinking. I run (and helped get off the ground) an athlete sponsorship program for a non-profit that creates social and economic opportunities around the Olympic Games in Vancouver. I've written everything from the business plan, to liasing with web developers, to selling the program to businesses.
I currently have no professional financial designations or licenses (such as a Series 7). However, I have read and studied everything from Ben Graham to Jeffrey Siegel. I am interested in a position in New York City in 2010 (when my current position will come to close) so I'm starting research and job hunt now.
Thanks for your time and any helps would be greatly appreciated.
