These look great!! Are they Parisian brown? Would you mind posting additional pics? Would you consider them dressy or casual? The last looks dressy but the welt and brass hooks tend to lean casual

I think they can be used in both dressy and casual settings

So there is still a thick leather insole and the padding is added on top of that and on top of the padding is a thin leather liner?

Also, does the padding affect breathability in your experience since it is probably made of a synthetic material?

@Leaves , I'm still curious about the construction. Can you share these details?

Also, I've e-mailed the store twice without any response except for the standard confirmation message. So I'll ask here: what material is the gold colored hardware made of on the adams boots? I wonder if it will become more dull over time since it's quite shiney fresh out of the box.

Thanks!

As I had thought, these arrived safely without any duties or taxes.

The first thing that popped out to me was the colour, there is a lot of white from the scales. I took a look at skoaks pics and they were very subdued. These things are not subtle at all. They're definitely a statement piece. When the lights hit it, it shines! Like a diamond.

The backseam stitch is straight on one pair but crooked on the second pair. On calf this would bother me and not be acceptable, but with the stingrays it's fine, I honestly wouldn't notice it unless I looked at it up close.

The scales almost feels like diamonds throughout the shoe. Don't even know at this point what I would wear these with.

Here's some quick pictures. Gonna wait till there's better light before taking more.

i've read that post so many times. LOL. thanks for posting tho.

I surprised how big the scales were on this pair, specifically around the toe area. The stingray pair in the reddit post is a lot smaller.

I've seen scales like that on wallets and watch straps. I think it's pretty normal. There aren't a whole lot of shoes that stand out in ones mind but the pair on reddit stuck with me. I'm probably not the person to wear them, honestly, but they are so awesome.

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I just did to anything shoe-related until I read your question.

They're very nice shoes, but one has to admit they're very advant-garde for the average stiched footwear hobbyist, therefore making them a very niche pair. So I could only imagine the 'wtf! how much did you pay for these again?!' reactions from my family and peers. Thank God I'm single therefore I don't have to explain myself to anyone about my purchases.

I’m not sureI agree that they are that out there. I mean, at a black tie event they would look really nice. If I wore opera pumps I would get more eyebrows than a pair of black stingray.

Unfortunately I experienced the opposite, sent a PM here and a message on FB without any reply, yet made an order on Sun and still waiting (EU location).

We did have an issue with our Facebook integration for a few days, but going over the messages on Facebook I can't see any PMs that have been unanswered. Was it a comment on a post, or was it through Facebook "Messenger"? Either way, I hope you emailed [email protected] and got an answer for your question.

Yes, we sorted out everything in email, thanks.
