How do you guys incorporate the BDU jacket into fits? I just got mine and ordered based on my Bedford size and found the A line fit of the jacket is much more pronounced than the Bedford making the jacket quite wide in the bottom.

What's the consensus on the storm flap do you guys take it out or leave it in?

This is my second EG piece. Seeing if I can work th courage up to try the BDU pants as well.

How do you find your BDU fitting by ordering the same size as your Bedford? Would sizing down still be good?

I wear my FW15 BDU jacket TTS (same size as my Bedford, in fact, all of my EG shirts, jackets, and coats are the same size). You can try cinching the sides (the buttons on the outside of the jacket on both sides) to slim it down a little bit.

I usually tuck the storm flap in but sometimes let it hang out.

I usually wear my BDU jacket with indigo denim or washed black jeans with boots. Sometimes I layer with a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath the jacket.

Two (really bad) pics of two recent EG fits. I need to get some FW EG pants so I can switch it up from denim, my SS fatigues are too light to wear when its cold. I've finally built up a bit of an EG base, so I find its almost all I wear casually. 3 work shirts, the stuff here, as well as an expedition jacket and some fatigues. Hoping to add one or two more pieces this sale, but we'll see how things go.

FW14 Homespun CPO
FW16 Flannel work shirt
Left field NYC Atlas denim
Viberg x Notre snuff boots

FW14 20oz melton Highland parka
FW 14 Shawl collar knit jacket
FW 15 work shirt
LF atlas denim
(not pictured) MMM black GATS

I like this:

May be a bit more casual than how you want to wear it? If so, this guy incorporates a vintage BDU into dressier fits, which could give you some ideas:

Thanks for the responses guys.

Edit- @Beedub Some great links. Much appreciated. Will try to out something post worthy together.

@Dino19 I found by going TTS that the BDU jacket fit a bit big. I probably could have gone down a size but the fit is pretty good in the chest and that's where I find stuff will get tight if sized down too much.
After seeing some fits here it jogged my memory that I had a few more pieces of EG. I've got two bedfords, a CPO shirt and a Cinch Vest. The bedfords fit me like almost tailored pieces and the cinch vest is nice and snug.

I'll try layering and closing the waist buttons. Mine is NYCO Ripstop so it probably needs some wear so it doesn't feel so tenty. There's a lot going on with this jacket in the details so I'm hoping to get it into the rotation on a regular basis.

@falgfalg gracias, amigo - if memory serves me, the bull denim is far thicker and heavier in weight than the double cloth. double cloth has a smooth yet tough hand to it - i've seen it mentioned in broken-english on some of the japanese sites that the dc should break-in and perhaps produce some interesting wear-marks. i imagine the bull denim will age well, too, though!
