Shoulder "Rumpling" Over Time

Bought a suit OTR from the JCrew Ludlow Shop. At first fit the jacket was perfect fit. Clean, straight shoulder line.

~6 months later, I'm starting to see a rumple or bump developing in the shoulder. Not sure at all what's causing it, but I went to a local tailor who told me there was nothing that could be done; something about the lapels needed to be "moved down" to fix and that the work wasn't guaranteed to fix.

No pics at the moment, but here's an example of what I'm talking about: http://content.artofmanliness.com/uploads//2013/09/ShoulderRumpling_cAOMRMR400.jpg

Looking for some advice on what could be causing this ( so as to avoid in the future ), as well as any thoughts on what can be done to fix.

I had a suit do that after a dozen wearings. My tailor said the jacket shoulder just didn't fit my body and the wearings had allowed the drape to break in and show the problem. She said it was not worth fixing after the first attempt at adding additional shoulder padding failed. I donated the suit to goodwill.

How do I fix this? Is this because of the collar being too tight? Or shoulders too slant.

This issue isn't easy to diagnose from pictures as you cannot reduce the cause to a general explanation. Cause may be from multiple issues and different issues for different body types. It is very difficult to correct as it is a combination related to the cutting of the jacket, fitting of the shoulder and the construction of the shoulder, type of canvassing or lack of canvas in the jacket. Since the jacket is made up it is limited as to what can be done to alter this. If I was adjusting this I would tell you up front you can expect 75% better but no guarantee of 100%.
