Matt,
I wasn't joking. Mention my name to Bijan and you will get 10% off. If you buy 2 or more suits and you mention my Grandmother Sadie, he will give you 15% off.

Hard to pass up

Who at SF or AAAC would admit to wearing Bijan?:

Truly horrid.

I would not wish this on Matt, nor anyone I liked.

His days are over. Sure he still parks the Rolls in front of the store and gets a few Saudis here and there; but, all in all I don't think it's what many are looking for in retail.
Anyways, his schtick is that he'll make you an entire wardrobe of anything and everything you'd ever want.

If you're going to be Beverly Hills-ish, the shirt fabrics at Anto are good for browsing. It's within walking distance of plenty of other fairly obvious places.

Stop by Canali in BH and ask for Sheldon. By the way, Canali is running their summer sale - 40% off.

Also, I'm looking for another good pair of jeans, is American Rag the best place?

These days it seems to be a McLaren SLR with all sorts of stickers.

Matt,

Don't forget the T&A store on 9633 Brighton, just a couple blocks off Rodeo. You may find some ascots there. There's also Wanna Buy A Watch at 8465 Melrose if you like vintage watches. I'd second Paul Smith, too, assuming there isn't one in SF, just to experience his POV up close.

Bijan isn't too far from Vacca, either.

On Robertson? I think so. I briefly stuck my head in once (I was looking for something specific that they didn't have, cannot now recall what) but haven't spent much time. Worth it? (It's about 3 miles from my house and about 2 miles from my office, so it doesn't have to be all that great to be "worth it".)

From what I've been told about its past, its current form is a faint shadow of what it was. It's mostly streetwear now, not that there's anything wrong with that.
