Paul Stuart has gone half Italian on shoes, but still some decent CJ if you want to check them out and probably still have some Labor Day sale left over

I checked them out online and there was not much of interest. I tried on several C&J’s yesterday. Am thinking of MTO if EG option doesn’t work.

PS is getting really boring for some reason. Just me?

Drake’s opening delayed as they sort out inventory. Wankers. Oh well, didn’t really need any Wes Anderson-wear anyway.

Did want to see the scarves, though.

I'm going to move @smittycl 's little off topic discussion to a new thread that I think would be useful to a lot of people. "Shopping for loafers and other classic menswear shoes in New York in 2019" might also extend the discussion, which is interesting.

I've got some Church's Tassel loafers that are a good fit. Think they do Pennies too.
Curiously i find Church's often underrated on SF.
Too bad you couldnt find Weston 180 that were a good fit. Best Penny loafers i ever had.

It’s going different direction, Phineas Cole has gone almost full soft tailoring, and that’s like 5 years too late...

Church use to have a store in UES (like 2008?), though now it’s very limited model in Bloomingdales and not sure where else

Oh and just realized Citishoes closed a while back otherwise they also carried EG..., and if you have narrow foot, check out Barney’s and Ralph Lauren for their whatever reason somewhat narrower fit English shoes...

Leffot closed today and tomorrow. Sak’s no longer carries EG but they have Churches and Lobb.

Will hit Paul Stuart as last stop. Am wearing PS linen shirt and pants anyway.

And Paul Stuart is closed on Sundays. Oh well. Running out of steam anyway. Heading to Beekman Tower tonight so going to curtail shopping.

No EG on BG’s website but likely have them in store. Will save them and Leffot for next visit.

C&J MTO is twice the price of RTW. Rip off.

Paul Stuart probably pull some of the stuff off web, remember seeing some Paolo Scafora looking Italian stuff, and I suppose you can always check BB, though not going to be too many “more” stuff here these days

“Thanks for the detailed presentation on the long-term impacts of the Treaty of Westphalia, Jeremy, but this is Calculus class.”

Story of my life. ?

Anyway, the Fashion Industry’s total failure to provide me with decent loafers is totally on topic! ?
