Unfortunately, too often image consultants get media attention for dubious bits of advice.

At least the particular shoes recommended won't harm anyone's image.

I'm surprised nobody has comment so far about how "off" some of the prices seem to be. EG @$800 seems a bit optimistic these days. Lobb St. James for $3,600 is short by at least $1K, and Alden bluchers for $695 is way high, even for shell!

Amen, not to sound not like a chauvonist (sp) but most (99.9%) women can't dress men. This does not reply in the reverse, as many male designers dress woman excellently.

There are probably few on this board who are fans of Gucci menswear, but I have followed them from season to season for some time now. Ever since Tom Ford was replaced by a female designer, the menswear is wretched. I could usually count on them for one great sportcoat a season but since Ford's departure, the line looks like expensive H&M, Zara or Kenneth Cole.

Such a shame.
