shoe tree recommendation

hey all - i just purchased a pair of loafers (these, except in a hickory leather and size 9.5 D: http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/store...5&ci_sku=N15CT)

i was wondering if anyone could suggest a good shoe tree for purchase on the internet? i checked out the cedarville website (trying to support the affiliates) and saw several different types, but i wasn't sure what worked well with what types of shoes. i also posted in the cedarville affiliate thread, but it looks like it hasn't been touched since february, so i'm not holding my breath.

why bother with the internet.

Go to nordstrom rack and get the woodlore split toes for $13 a pair.

Quadcammer - reason i ask is i'm a bit new to this. i realize shoe trees aren't one size fits all, but i'm not sure if they're "one shape fits all" or something like that. i got these shoes for what felt like a pretty good deal, so i'd like to make sure i don't stretch them out too much with the wrong trees

Those are soft leather. Simple pair of cedar trees are fine.

yes, you can purchase lasted shoe trees for high end shoes, but for the most part, a regular shoe tree that is the correct size, will do the job just fine.

you are just trying to keep the leather from creasing/wrinkling.

no. the shoe tree absorbing moisture story is dubious at best. It is not sucking the "vital moistures" out of a pair of dry shoes.

well considering all the high end shoemakers display their shoes with trees in, the likelihood of that is very low. Not to mention, if a plain cedar shoe tree is sucking that moisture out, consider what your hot sweaty foot is doing to those vital moistures...replacing them with sweat ain't doing them any favors.

If you are so concerned about it, get some varnished/lacquered shoe trees.

I've been using shoe trees for probably 4 years every day and my shoes never exhibited any "dryness" damage.

$19 a pair at Nordstroms (picked up some with some AE's that were on sale).
